Portfolio – Délani Valin

Portal’s reading series is back for fall 2023! Join us in the attic where keynote speaker Délani Valin will read from her debut poetry collection, Shapeshifters.

Délani Valin is a neurodivergent and Métis author recently published by Nightwood Editions. Her collection explores the cost of finding the perfect mask. Valin is on the editorial board of Room and The Malahat Review, and she is also a graduate of Vancouver Island University’s Creative Writing program.

Opening student readers include Taylor Iverson, Maggie Stvns, and Barbara Burgardt. We hope to see you there!
